Commuter Services and Parking
Go Transit
For commuting students there are several convenient and flexible public transportation options to choose from providing an alternative to driving alone to campus, while students living in UCLA Residence Halls really can leave their car at home and still have mobility.
BruinGo!
With the BruinGo! program, commuting students use their BruinCard and a 25¢ co-pay to ride many Santa Monica Big Blue Bus and Culver City Bus lines to get to class, and on-campus residents can go roundtrip to dozens of off-campus destinations.
Metro
Go Metro is a quarterly bus pass that gives eligible students half-price fares on all Metro Bus and Metro Rail buses.
LADOT
UCLA Transportation subsidizes 50% of the cost of LADOT Commuter Express bus passes.
City of Santa Clarita Transit
Take advantage of convenient express trips on City of Santa Clarita Transit 's Route 797, offering direct service between several Santa Clarita communities and UCLA/Westwood.
Pedal Power
Extend your range and go farther, faster: Bike to the bus stop and then take your bike on the bus. Nearly all buses provide bicycle racks.
Ride Sharing and Commuter Assistance
Ridesharing offers information and placement into UCLA vanpools
and carpools, and also provides route maps and schedules for
a variety of public transportation options. CAR has over 150
vans on the road, serving nearly 80 communities. Both month-to-month
and daily riding opportunities are available.
Students can find carpool partners who live in the same area and commute similar hours by registering with UCLA-exclusive online carpool matching at http://carpoolworld.com/ucla.html. Carpool partners should then apply together each quarter on time for a guaranteed reduced fee student carpool parking permit.

transportation and other commuting options can be found at UCLA

Student Parking
Due to traffic congestion, air quality concerns, and limited parking, UCLA encourages individuals not to drive alone to campus. In fact, parking is not guaranteed to individual students; student permits are assigned through a need-based point system. To increase your chance of receiving a parking permit, be sure to apply on time and meet all application and payment due dates.
