The Office for Students with Disabilities
The Office
for Students with Disabilities provides a wide range of
academic support services to regularly enrolled students with
permanent and temporary disabilities in compliance with Section
504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with
Disabilities Act of 1990. Free support services include:
- readers, note takers, and sign language interpreters
- campus orientation and accessibility
- on-campus transportation
- special parking
- registration assistance
- housing assistance
- support groups
- fee deferments authorized by the California Department
of Rehabilitation

- referral to the Disabilities and Computing Program
- the Learning Disabilities Program
- proctor and test-taking arrangements
- tutorial referral
- workshops
- special materials
- adaptive equipment

specifically designed to meet the disability-related needs

The Disabilities and Computing Program
The Disabilities
and Computing Program provides adaptive technology and
information access support and services for students, faculty, and staff with disabilities. Speech synthesis, Braille, large print, scanners
and reading software, alternate keyboards,
and voice recognition technologies are available. Consulting for
individuals and departments is available.
