Enrolling in Classes

You will enroll in your first term of classes at Orientation using URSA, UCLA's Web application for accessing your student record.

All new students are strongly recommended to attend an orientation session in order to receive counseling regarding course requirements and enrolling in fall quarter classes. If you cannot attend an orientation session, you should still contact the UCLA Orientation Program for information about requirements and how to enroll on your own.

To enroll in classes you need to be familiar with two online documents:

The catalog contains detailed information about the college and schools, majors, course descriptions, and requisites; the Schedule of Classes includes instructions on how to register (pay fees) and enroll and lists the courses offered each term. A print copy of the UCLA General Catalog will be provided at orientation. It can also be purchased at the UCLA Store.
