Health Insurance

All students are required to maintain a qualified health insurance as a condition of enrollment. Coverage that meets university requirements is offered through the undergraduate Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP).

The cost of coverage through SHIP will be assessed as part of your registration fees. You will receive more information about SHIP with your first UCLA electronic billing statement (eBill).

You can waive the SHIP requirement if you already have qualified health insurance coverage. In order to waive this requirement, however, you must complete the online waiver during the fee payment period of each term.
