Traveling Outside the U.S.
Prior to the Start of the UCLA Term

If you enter the U.S. on your UCLA I-20, you must report to the Dashew Center for International Students and Scholars (DCISS) and obtain travel authorization before you can travel abroad again.

If you are coming to UCLA from another U.S. school and plan to travel outside of the U.S. after completing your course of study at your previous school, you must obtain UCLA’s I-20 and have a current F-1 visa stamp in your passport before re-entering the United States. You must also contact DCISS before you depart from the United States for more information on the most current regulations and how they could impact your return to this country.

Upon re-entering the U.S., you must report to the DCISS no later than January 16, 2009.
