Astrophysics

To be considered for this major, you must complete at least one year of calculus with analytic geometry through multivariable and one year of calculus-based physics (mechanics, electricity, and magnetism) by the spring prior to transfer.

  • two courses in astrophysics (stars, nebulae, stellar evolution, galaxies, and cosmology)
  • two years of calculus
  • one and one-half years of calculus-based physics for the major
  • one course in computer programming

  • one course in general chemistry for the major
