Cognitive Science*
- two courses in calculus/analytic geometry [1]
- one introductory psychology course [2]
- one biology course [3]
- one course in introductory physics [4], or introductory chemistry [5]
- one philosophy course (critical reasoning, philosophy of science, or philosophy of the mind)
- introduction to C++ programming
- intermediate C++ programming
- one additional computer programming course
* Students are classified as Pre-Cognitive Science until they complete the preparation courses at UCLA.
- A score of 5 or on the AP Calculus AB exam can be used in place of the first calculus course.
A score of 4 on the AP Calculus BC exam can be used in place of the first calculus course; a score of 5 on the AP Calculus BC exam can be used in place of both calculus courses.- A score of 4 or higher on the AP Psychology exam can be used in place of the psychology course.
- A score of 3 or higher on the AP Biology exam can be used in place of the biology course.
- A score of 3 or higher on the AP Physics B or C exam can be used in place of the physics course.
- A score of 3 or higher on the AP Chemistry exam can be used in place of the chemistry course.
