  • one course in introduction to linguistics
  • two years of one foreign language
  • one year of a second language (At least one year of coursework must be from the non-Slavic, non-Romance, non-Germanic families.)
  • a choice of two of the following:
    • one course in symbolic logic
    • one course in introductory psychology
    • one course in cultural anthropology
