Tours for Prospective Students

Prospective students and their parents are invited to take our campus tour, which lasts approximately 2 hours and is led by a UCLA student guide. It's a walking tour, so we suggest you wear comfortable shoes.

Reservations

Reservations are required for all tours. Non-English speaking groups will need to bring interpreters. We recommend that you make your tour reservation at least 3-4 weeks in advance.

For individuals or small groups (9 or fewer)

Winter Quarter

Finals Week (March 19 – March 22)

  • MondayThursday at 12:15 pm

No tours will be given on the following days:

  • Last day of finals week: Friday, March 23

Spring Break

March 26 – March 29

    • MondayThursday at 10:15 am and 2:15 pm

    Spring Quarter

    Admitted students:
    During the month of April, you can also attend a special hour-long admitted student presentation designed especially for you. At the session, you and your family will hear what campus life at UCLA is like, first-hand from Admissions and Student Life representatives, as well as current students. The sessions cover student life, frequently asked questions, and next steps in the admission process, and will be held one hour prior to most tours given in April. Sign up when you reserve your tour.

Regular Quarter (April 2 – June 8)

  • MondayFriday at 12:15 pm April only
  • Saturday at 10:15 am

Finals Week (June 11 – June 14)

  • MondayThursday at 12:15 pm

No tours will be given on the following days:

  • Memorial Day: Monday, May 28
  • Last day of finals week: Friday, June 15

For large groups (10 or more)

For large groups, we suggest reservations be made at least 4 weeks in advance.

Note: No group tours are offered during the month of April.

If you’re interested in making a reservation for a group tour you may contact us at the numbers below.  We can make reservations up to 4 months in advance.

International groups wanting tours should contact us through email.

For elementary/middle school groups

The UCLA Campus Tours office offers group tours to students in high school and community college only. If you are interested in scheduling a tour for an elementary school or a middle school, please contact the Cub Tours Program.

Other Tours on Campus

The Housing Office offers tours of its on-campus housing facilities Monday - Friday at 12:30 p.m. Please visit the housing Web site to make a reservation.

The Medical Center provides tours of its facilities to interested parties. Call (310) 267-0111.

UCLA Arts tours are held on Fridays at 1:00 p.m. and last approximately 90 minutes. The tour is guided by a UCLA Arts representative and will include information on admission, audition/portfolio requirements, housing, student life, and financial aid/scholarships.

The UCLA School of the Theater, Film and Television offers tours of its facilities for prospective students and their parents on a limited reservation basis. Tours are offered for both Theater and Film depending on the student's area of interest. Visit TFT's tours site for reservations and contact information.

UCLA Botanical Garden Self-Guided Tour. Guided tours are only offered for groups of 8 or more. Contact (310) 206-6707

UCLA does not schedule interviews for prospective students. However, if you would like to receive information on admission or other aspects of the University, visit the UCLA Undergraduate Admissions Office at 1147 Murphy Hall (between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.) or call (310) 825-3101.
